10. High - 5 Seconds of Summer

오랜만에 아주 귀에 좋은 노래를 새로 찾았다. 여름밤에 아주 잘 어울리는 노래다. 보컬이 참 촉촉하다. 핵심 벌스 하나로 노래 전체를 관통하는데, 전혀 지루하거나 어색하거나 부족하지 않다. 심지어 session도 거의 없다. 일렉 기타와 신디 베이스, 그리고 코러스 화음만으로 곡을 꽉 채운다. 보컬의 힘이 대단하다.

참 서정적이다. 이런게 바로 음악적 재능이다. 보컬의 역량도 대단하다. 가성과 진성을 오가며 서정성의 진폭을 넓혀간다. 초여름 밤바다 벤치에 앉아서 파도 소리와 함께 들으면 너무 촉촉할 것 같다. 정서는 라우브의 never not과 비슷한 계열인데, 에코를 강하게 써서 그런지 심장을 후벼파는 그런 뭔가가 있는 곡이다.
